A Super Day To Avoid The Crowds

If you are in Florida and have no interest in football or TV commercials then today is your day to visit Disney World and EPCOT. Depending on who is in the game we have made a point of doing this several times. Granted February is one of the off-peak seasons anyway, so the crowds are thinner. But Super Bowl Sunday gives you a chance to enjoy the park in a more casual, less-frenzied way. There’s something special about a day when there are fewer people in attendance. You feel like you are getting special treatment and can see all there is without the rude inconveniences that can come with a throng of visitors trying to squeeze all they can out of a single days investment.
If the game is still on your mind, Disney officials say that there will be TVs showing the game. I don’t know where that might be at EPCOT. However, many years ago we viewed the game in one of the best places ever when we stumbled upon the event being shown in the Future Choice Theater that used to be in CommuniCore. We were unaware at the time that the EPCOT Imagineers were accurately predicting the advent of home theaters… or at least really big TVs!
